Exciting changes are underway in Trethomas as work officially begins today on the long-awaited renovation of The Bryn Hall. Thanks to the generous support of major grant funders, businesses, and public donations, this vital community project is now moving forward.
The transformation of The Bryn Hall into the Trethomas Life Centre has been made possible through funding from The National Lottery, Moondance, and contributions from businesses such as Castell Howell Foods and Aviva Insurance, as well as generous donations from the general public. While there is still a funding shortfall to fully complete the project, The Parish Trust is stepping out in faith, believing that other funders and donors will recognise the importance of this initiative and offer their support.
Ashdown Construction has been contracted to carry out the renovation work, which will see the hall transformed into a dynamic community hub. The new Trethomas Life Centre will provide multipurpose spaces tailored to the needs of youth, children, and families, including wellbeing rooms, a subdividable hall, a commercial kitchen, outdoor spaces, and office facilities.

Rev. Dean Aaron Roberts, CEO of The Parish Trust, expressed his excitement about the project’s commencement:
The Bryn Hall has been left to deteriorate and is currently in a derelict state, but this renovation will breathe new life into it. Our hope is that it will become a true staple of the community in the years to come. This will be a place where people of all ages can come together, access support, and build connections. We are immensely grateful to all those who have contributed so far, and we remain hopeful that others will come alongside us to see this vision fully realised.
Diane Brierley, Chair of Trustees at The Parish Trust, added:
This is a landmark moment for The Parish Trust and for Trethomas. The Trethomas Life Centre will be a welcoming, safe, and vibrant space that will benefit countless individuals and families in our community. We’re incredibly grateful to our funders and supporters for making this possible, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this centre will have for years to come.
The Parish Trust is calling on local businesses, organisations, and individuals to help bridge the funding gap and ensure the completion of this transformative project.
