Introducing the Databank initiative – access to data is no longer a luxury, but an essential need in today’s digital age. Much like a food bank provides sustenance to those in need, our Databank distributes SIM cards loaded with data, free of charge, to individuals facing connectivity barriers.
In an era where everything from education to healthcare and job opportunities is increasingly reliant on digital access, the inability to connect can exacerbate existing inequalities. By providing free data access, we aim to bridge this gap, empowering individuals to participate fully in the digital world regardless of their economic circumstances.
Just as a food bank ensures that no one goes hungry, our Databank strives to ensure that no one is left behind in the digital divide. Join us in our mission to make data access a universal right, empowering communities and fostering inclusivity in the digital age.
Before getting in touch, you need to confirm that you are…
● 18+ years old
● AND be from a low income household (and show evidence)
One of these statements will also need to be true of you…
● You have no access or insufficient access to the internet at home
● You have no or insufficient access to the internet when away from the home
● You cannot afford your existing monthly contract or top up
If you think you’re eligible, you need to call us to arrange an appointment to come in to talk to one of our team, who will check your eligibility with you and explain how the data SIM will work.
You may get up to 6 months of free data, depending on your circumstances.
When you come in, you will be given a SIM card and a voucher code to take away with you.
Once you have your data SIM, it’s yours to use for the duration of the time that has been allocated to you.
Once your SIM has run out of data, you may apply again if you are still in need, but you will have to be re-assessed for eligibility.
You can re-apply by following the same procedure outlined on this page.
