Launching in January 2025, the Caerphilly Baby Bank will transform the lives of babies and new parents in Caerphilly County Borough and Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. We will be providing essential supplies and support during those crucial early stages of life, ensuring every family has what they need to thrive.

What We Will Offer

Our Baby and Maternity Bank will be here to offer essential items for parents and children under 5, including:

  • Clothing for under-5s (e.g. coats, hats, etc.)
  • Baby hygiene products (nappies, shampoo, wipes)
  • Baby Equipment (e.g. bedding, small furniture)
  • Maternity clothing and hygiene essentials (e.g. maternity pads, breast pads)

We will also provide two specialised bundles:

  • Hospital Pack: A pack of essential items for a hospital stay and postnatal care.
  • Newborn Pack: A complete set of newborn essentials.

How It Will Work

We will be stocked through donations from the public and local businesses. Whether it’s pre-loved clothing or hygiene items, your donations will make a direct difference to the lives of local families.

You will be able help in many ways ways:

  1. Donate Items: Bring donations to our collection point or arrange a drop-off with our coordinator.
  2. Financial Donations: Can’t donate items? You can still support by making a financial donation to the overall work of The Parish Trust via our donation page.

How to Get Help

If you need support from the Baby and Maternity Bank, you’ll need a referral from a professional who can assess your baby’s needs. This could be your Health Visitor, Social Worker, or another professional involved in your care. They will work with you to understand your situation and complete the referral on your behalf.

For Referral Partners (Health Visitors, Social Workers, and other professionals), referrals are made through our online referral form. This form will be available from January 2025. Once submitted, we aim to fulfil requests as quickly as possible to ensure families get the help they need without delay.

The Referral form is due to open in January 2025. Please check back again then. Thank you.

Please note that in order to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and to enjoy the Easter Holidays, The Parish Trust will be closed from Thursday 28th March 2024 and will reopen on Monday 8th April 2024. We wish all our stakeholders and beneficiaries a Happy Easter.
