Job Title: Catering and Hospitality Apprentice

Position Overview:
The Parish Trust is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Catering and Hospitality Apprentice. This unique apprenticeship opportunity as part of The Parish Trust’s Profectus Programme offers hands-on experience in various aspects of catering and hospitality, including assisting with lunch club events, contributing to food poverty campaigns, operating the “Caffi Caredig” coffee van, and acquiring valuable barista skills. The successful candidate will also play a key role in coordinating and delivering diverse events where food is served.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Lunch Club Events:
- Support the planning and execution of occasional and regular lunch club events.
- Contribute to the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals.
- Food Poverty Campaigns:
- Collaborate with the team to assist in initiatives related to food poverty campaigns.
- Help organize and distribute food to those in need.
- “Caffi Caredig” Coffee Van:
- Work on the mobile coffee van, providing excellent customer service to patrons.
- Learn and master barista skills, including coffee preparation and presentation.
- Event Coordination and Delivery:
- Participate in the coordination of various events where food is served.
- Assist in the setup, service, and breakdown of catering elements during events.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the catering and hospitality team to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate effectively and contribute ideas to enhance overall efficiency.
- Training and Development:
- Engage in ongoing training to acquire and improve catering and hospitality skills.
- Actively participate in skill-building activities and workshops.
Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for catering and hospitality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is an advantage.
