In an exciting partnership with Caerphilly County Borough Council “Caerphilly Cares” team, The Parish Trust is able to advertise a part time post to facilitate and assist the CARE Project to run smoothly and to contribute to the Borough’s strategy on food insecurity.
Role Purpose: To assist the CARE Project Lead in the running of the CARE Project, and to act as liaison between The Parish Trust and Caerphilly Cares Food Network.
Contract: Fixed Term for One Year.
Pay: £12 p/h
Hours: 8 per week

Job Description
- Assisting in all aspects of the day to day running of The Parish Trust’s CARE Project
- Carrying out regular compliance checks to ensure the quality and safety of the service.
- Ensuring food safety/hygiene standards are in line with environmental health standards.
- Monitoring allergies forms and providing the staff team with accurate and up-to-date information to prevent any risk to customers.
- Assisting with Volunteer management, training, and induction
- Attend and feedback into Monthly Caerphilly Cares meetings and quarterly Caerphilly Food Network.
- Attend paid training opportunities
Person Specification
This role will suit someone who is a team player, can take initiative, and is passionate about social justice. You will need to be a hard worker, and willing to progress in your professional development. You will need to be able to drive / arrange transportation for the meetings and training events mentioned in the job description.
