Help us give Caerphilly Baby Bank a secure future
Dear Friend,
We are writing to ask whether you would consider making a donation to support The Parish Trust’s Caerphilly Baby Bank and Maternity Supplies.
Since opening, this project has already supported over 600 families with essential baby items, clothing, equipment, nappies, toiletries, maternity supplies and safe sleeping provision.
Every parcel represents a family helped at a difficult moment. Every donation of clothes or equipment means good-quality baby items are reused responsibly, rather than going to waste. This project is meeting a real need in our community.
But the truth is that our Baby Bank does not yet have the secure foundation it needs.
At the moment, we are operating from one of the large warehouse units on Gallagher Retail Estate in Caerphilly on a very short rolling lease of 28 days. We are very grateful for the space, but it is not a permanent or secure base. We are always conscious that, if circumstances changed, we could be asked to leave, which would leave the Baby Bank without a home.
That is a worrying position to be in when so many families are depending on this service.
This Small Charity Week, we have an amazing opportunity to raise vital funds through Big Give’s match funding campaign. For a very limited time, donations made to our Baby Bank can be doubled at no extra cost to the donor.
That means:
£5 becomes £10
£10 becomes £20
£25 becomes £50
£50 becomes £100
Thanks to the wonderful players of People’s Postcode Lottery, donations made to us through the Small Charity Week match funding campaign will be DOUBLED through funding awarded by Postcode Community Trust.
Our target is £20,000.
If we reach it, this will help us build a much securer foundation for Caerphilly Baby Bank, so we can continue supporting families, babies and young children for the long term.
