<p>The Youth and Children&#8217;s Programme Manager will develop, implement, and manage a variety of programs aimed at supporting the growth and development of children and young people within the community. This role is central to ensuring that The Parish Trust provides engaging, educational, and supportive activities that align with our mission and values, bringing life in all its fullness to all our young people and children, and sowing faith, sharing hope, and showing love in their lives. Children and Young People are a top priority for The Parish Trust and our investment in them is key to alleviating and overcoming the challenges that so many face in society today that The Parish Trust seeks to provide help with.</p>



<p>You will be a key person in the staff team of The Parish Trust and will assist in setting the strategic and operational direction of youth and children&#8217;s work within the charity.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Key Responsibilities:</h3>



<p><strong>Program Development and Management:</strong></p>

<li>Design and deliver a comprehensive range of programs for children and young people, including educational workshops, recreational activities, and community service projects.</li>

<p>As manager of the Caffi Caredig, you will ensure that high quality and great value food and drink are prepared and served to customers from a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You will be a roaming representative for The Parish Trust, raising its profile and helping to deliver its charitable objectives through the selling of ethical food and drink products and making the Caffi Caredig a profitable social enterprise.</p>

<p>We are looking for a motivated, passionate individual who cares about making a difference in the community. You will be a person who actively fights food poverty through leading one of The Parish Trust&#8217;s main activities: The CARE Project. Each year, the CARE Project feeds between 7,000 and 9,000 people, with access to the service being available to approximately 54,000 people in Caerphilly Borough.</p>



<p>The CARE Project also reduces food waste, reusing food or saving food from large suppliers, and putting it into food parcels or using it as part of our Bag a Bargain scheme. You will help to lead our volunteers and coordinate the CARE Project, ensuring it continues to run smoothly and that our service users get the help they need.</p>



<p><em>The CARE Project Lead is a key member of The Parish Trust Team. This is a demanding and fast paced role that is pivotal to supporting the delivery of the CARE Project. It would suit a person who catches the vision and ethos we hold to, is structured and organised in their approach, and has a passion for community support and social justice. In addition, they will be willing to work flexibly as required to get the job done. They will be confident to work both collaboratively and independently, and adaptable to a changing environment. This role has the opportunity to connect with all areas of the community. It is a face-to-face role on a daily basis.</em></p>



<p><strong>What you should know about the job</strong></p>



<p>Contract: 37.5 hours per week, permanent.</p>



<p>Working pattern: 2:30pm-6:30pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with remaining hours to be worked flexibly as agreed by your line manager. This can be reviewed once the successful applicant has settled into their role.</p>
