<p>The Acting Youth and Children&#8217;s Programme Manager will develop, implement, and manage a variety of programs aimed at supporting the growth and development of children and young people within the community. This role is central to ensuring that The Parish Trust provides engaging, educational, and supportive activities that align with our mission and values, bringing life in all its fullness to all our young people and children, and sowing faith, sharing hope, and showing love in their lives. Children and Young People are a top priority for The Parish Trust and our investment in them is key to alleviating and overcoming the challenges that so many face in society today that The Parish Trust seeks to provide help with.</p>



<p>You will be a key person in the staff team of The Parish Trust and will assist in setting the strategic and operational direction of youth and children&#8217;s work within the charity.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Key Responsibilities:</h3>



<p><strong>Program Development and Management:</strong></p>

<li>Design and deliver a comprehensive range of programs for children and young people, including educational workshops, recreational activities, and community service projects.</li>



<li>Collaborate with other staff, volunteers, and external partners to ensure programs are inclusive, diverse, and meet the needs of the community.</li>



<li>Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making improvements based on feedback and best practices.</li>

<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young people.</li>



<li>Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.</li>

<p>Due to the Christian ethos of The Parish Trust and the nature of the role, it is an occupational requirement that the Acting Youth and Children&#8217;s Programme Manager must <em>either</em> be a committed Christian or demonstrate a strong sympathy and alignment with the vision and aims of the charity, which are based on Christian principles.</p>

<p style="font-style:italic;font-weight:400">The Parish Trust&#8217;s <em><strong>Caffi Caredig</strong></em> is its own Mobile Coffee and Snack Bar, aimed at bringing people together, reducing food waste, and connecting people to our charitable work.</p>



<p style="font-style:italic;font-weight:400">We are looking for an exceptional individual who will run and manage the charity&#8217;s mobile snack bar, making it a valuable and income generating arm of the charity&#8217;s work whilst helping us to reduce food waste, connect with the community, and raise the profile of The Parish Trust.</p>



<p style="font-style:italic;font-weight:400">It is absolutely essential that the successful candidate can successfully run a catering business, connect with people, and cover all expenditure through their own planning to make this venture a success and secure a permanent position after the fixed term ends.</p>



<p style="font-style:italic;font-weight:400">You will be able to tow the Caffi Caredig and find business through private events, food festivals, corporate opportunities, and other opportunities.</p>



<p style="font-style:italic;font-weight:400">If you&#8217;re looking for an opportunity to start a mobile snack bar with all overheads paid for and without all of the startup costs, this position may be ideal for you. </p>

<h5 class="wp-block-heading">What is the overall purpose of the role?</h5>



<p>As manager of the Caffi Caredig, you will ensure that high quality and great value food and drink are prepared and served to customers from a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You will be a roaming representative for The Parish Trust, raising its profile and helping to deliver its charitable objectives through the selling of ethical food and drink products and making the Caffi Caredig a profitable social enterprise.</p>



<h5 class="wp-block-heading">Key activities and responsibilities</h5>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Preparing and serving food, making coffee and tea and collecting money.</li>



<li>Ensuring the café is fully stocked and can meet the menu at all times, planning and preparing snack bar food and drink, and managing the stock.</li>



<li>Cleaning the Caffi areas, inside and outside and ensure they are safe and hygienic at all times.</li>



<li>Check that all facilities, equipment or furnishings are in good order and to report any damage.</li>



<li>Implementing a normal operating plan, ensuring correct opening and closing times and setting up and clearing down as required.</li>



<li>Manage and monitor expenditure, stock, wastage and use-by dates.</li>



<li>Ensuring the completion of daily financial reporting and cash handling and that all expenditure is covered by an invoice or receipt.</li>



<li>Respond promptly and professionally to any customer feedback, comments or complaints.</li>



<li>Being a welcoming face, ensuring excellent customer service.</li>



<li>Be familiar and up-to-date with all policy and procedures of the charity, and all expectations and standards of food hygiene and safety, and implementing them.</li>

<p><em>The Playgroup Leader will be responsible for the weekly running of Tommy&#8217;s Tots playgroup sessions, ensuring safe, stimulating play and to provide for the needs of the whole child. The successful candidate will have a passion for children and a commitment to fostering and encouraging the overall aims and objectives of The Parish Trust. The successful candidate will foster the Christian ethos of the charity in the playgroup, planning suitable themes for each session that both incorporate a Christian message and link in with child developmental milestones.</em></p>



<p><strong>Hours</strong>: 4 p/w (Tuesdays 8:30-11:30am and one hour preparation to be taken at the successful candidate&#8217;s choice) at £12.60 p/h.
