How many times can I be referred to the CARE Project?
Technically, you can be referred an infinite number of times to the CARE Project.
However, the CARE Project is designed to give short to medium term support to those who are experiencing challenging circumstances and are in need of extra support.
If you continue to claim referrals, we reserve the right to investigate why your situation hasn’t improved, and may put conditions on further referrals being approved, such as attending job clubs, a money course, or something similar to give you a better chance of your situation improving.
The CARE Project food parcel provision is not meant to replace a service user’s responsibility to purchase their own food. Rather, it is there to supplement and reduce the cost of food shopping and to ease the financial burden placed on individuals and families due to other extenuating circumstances.
